1. Replace a single part

Process and shape according to the part drawing, and adjust and repair accordingly according to the matching relationship of the parts in the mold, because the mold has a certain amount of wear and deformation after a period of use. This is also the difference between repair and new production.

2. Surface treatment and finishing

If there are special requirements for the forming surface, polishing and trimming can be carried out. Then the surface treatment can be carried out by mechanical methods. For the forming surface depression, corner collapse and cracks are not serious, generally use the corresponding material to repair welding. Then the repair welding surface is processed into shape. In addition, the method of falling-shaped surface can also be used to process the shape that is not complicated.

3. Mosaic and mosaic.

For complex formed parts, when the part is severely damaged, worn, deformed and failed, if the entire part is replaced, it is time-consuming and labor-intensive, especially when the maintenance cycle does not allow it, it must be partially repaired. In this case, mosaic and inlay processes are often used, and corresponding measures are taken according to the degree of damage of the parts. This process method is also the most commonly used and most efficient method.

4. Assembly

The mold is assembled from many parts, and assembly accuracy is the main content of the quality index, which is a necessary condition to ensure the work of the mold. Therefore, the maintenance worker must be familiar with the structure of the entire mold and the requirements of the parts during the assembly process, and understand which are the matching dimensions, which are the reference surfaces, which are the matching surfaces and forming surfaces, etc. For the parts and components that must be repaired, according to the original assembly relationship, leave a certain amount of trimming allowance, and adjust, trim, and cooperate in an orderly manner. Finally, the assembly and trial molds are qualified to complete the repair of the entire mold.

5. Quality inspection during maintenance

In addition to the precise geometrical size requirements of the mold parts, the shape and position tolerance requirements are also high. Therefore, the entire mold manufacturing process must be inspected, but because the mold repair is only a partial repair, it does not involve much. General parts are self-inspected by the operator during the repair process stage, and some more complicated single formed parts that need to be replaced are inspected by the inspector according to the process. In the assembly stage of fitter, assemble according to the assembly drawing, and self-check the assembly quality. After passing the self-inspection, it will be passed to the inspector to pass the inspection, so as to complete the repair process of the entire mold.
